THINGS I SAY FOR MONEY

THINGS I SAY FOR MONEY

Inspired by a photograph, which shows the Italian actress and performer Elettra de Salvo at a demonstration in the Seventies in Rome, the choroeographer Jochen Roller, together with his actress, embarks on a journey through time, into her memories. By means of different objects, which de Salvo brings onto the stage in a box, she describes the journey from her past into her present. The objects serve as triggers for anecdotes, choreography and songs, with which she faces up to the ageing process. By working together, the two artists from two different generations create a short, ironic and slightly melancholic piece about what it means to belong on the scrap heap.
