In his lecture performance „Let’s dance!“, choreographer Jochen Roller shows his favourite scenes from American and European film musicals. In selected dance sequences, Roller unveils the choreography’s underlying intention which the makers try to convey to their audience by coding it into the form of dance. Sitting in front of a screen on which he projects short film clippings, Roller analysis in a very funny and entertaining way how to exploit dance and how to make choreography work. The choice of films ranges from Hollywood classics, European art films and B-movies to American Blockbusters.
